Pastor Mike continues his study of Ecclesiastes in Chapters 6 and 7.
In Chapter 6, King Solomon tells us, in our lives we will never be truly contented, even with the finest possessions, food and spirits, or carnal pleasures. It is how we are made. There is a God sized hole within our souls and without the Lord in our lives, our hunger for more is unquenchable. The more we feed it, the greater our hunger. We can only find the true purpose in life by serving God and our fellow man.
In chapter 7 The difficult questions of death are answered. Death is a separation of body and spirit. Even death shall not separate us from the love of God. Our spirit lives on as we transition into heaven. Through Jesus Christ, we have assurance that we will see our loved ones again and shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
